If you've ever wanted to work in comms, or brush up on your comms skills for political campaigning, then this YF Academy event is for you!

Feel free to join us from 1.45pm onwards on Saturday 27 November for a 2pm start. If you'd like to attend for some sessions and not others, that's absolutely fine.

We'll be in the ground floor meeting room at the Fabian Society's offices in 61 Petty France, Westminster, SW1H 9EU (less than 5 mins' walk from St James's Park Underground Station, or 10 minutes mins' walk from Victoria Station). This time the YF Communications Network have teamed up with Labour in Communications and Labour Doorstep to bring you a half-day of practical advice and opportunities to discuss your questions.

Our agenda for the day will include: 

🐢 2.00-2.15pm: An introduction to the Fabian Society and the Young Fabians with Tobi Dada, Young Fabians Member Development & Engagement Officer. You can join the Fabians here if you haven't already: if you're under 31, you'll automatically become a member of the Young Fabians!

📝 2.15-3.15pm: Working in communications with Nabhan Malik, Co-Founder of Labour in Communications; Laura Cunliffe-Hall, Young Fabians Comms Officer; and Laura Griffith, comms professional working on housing and infrastructure.

☕ 3.15-3.30pm: Coffee break.

🎙️ 3.30-4.30pm: Building powerful political narratives with Molly Hartill, Chair of YF Comms Network; Jovan Owusu-Nepaul, Engagement Lead for My Life My Say; and Guy Lucas-Bhana, Vice Chair of Labour Doorstep and local Young Labour campaigns coordinator.

📱 4.45-5.45pm: Planning and running social media campaigns with Panny Antoniou, Chair of Labour Doorstep.

🏁 5.45-6.00pm: Wrap-up and next steps, followed by a social at a nearby pub on Petty France.
