Do you want to be a policymaker, and an effective advocate for your ideas?

If so, join us at 7pm on Wednesday 24 November for a YF Academy event on policymaking and advocacy skills, with Prof Thom Brooks!

Thom leads an extraordinary career straddling academia, politics and legal advocacy. He's Professor of Law & Politics at Durham University, founding editor of the Journal of Moral Philosophy, and an expert on immigration policy. Having advised the Labour Party on two General Election manifestos, he founded the Labour Academic Network to support Labour's policy work and serves on the Fabian Society's Executive Committee.

In this participatory event, Thom will share his best advice on policymaking, and his tips on effective political communication through writing and public speaking.
