Would you like to write and give powerful speeches, to communicate your ideas and arguments more persuasively?
If so, join us at the Fabian Society's offices at 7pm on Wednesday 10 November for a YF Academy event on speechwriting, with Paul Richards!
Following Paul's excellent session on political writing for the page, he's kindly agreed to speak with us again: this time focusing on speechwriting. Paul is a political author, columnist, co-founder of Progress magazine, and former special adviser to two cabinet ministers during the 1997-2010 Labour Government - during which time he wrote speeches for Labour politicians at the height of the party's communication powers. He's an Honorary Vice President of the Young Fabians, and co-produced the influential Young Fabian pamphlet The Case for Socialism in 2000.
In this event, Paul will share his best advice on speechwriting, including examples from some great political speeches.
