Launch of the Young Fabians China Programme
A Young Fabian, Young Icebreakers and LSE SU China Development Society invite you to join us for a discussion with a number of special guests. The topic: ‘UK- Chinese Relations – The UK’s Place in the Asian Century: challenges and opportunities’
Join the Young Fabians, the Young Icebreakers and the LSE SU China Development Society for an event titled ‘UK- Chinese Relations – The UK’s Place in the Asian Century: challenges and opportunities’, which will be held on Tuesday 8th 2014, 7.30-8.30pm at the LSE.
The panel includes:
• Rt Hon Liam Byrne MP, Shadow Minister for Universities, Science and Skills, Former Chief Secretary to the HM Treasury and author of Turning to Face the East
• Zhang Jiming, Minister Counsellor, Chinese Embassy in London
• John Zai, Chairman, UK-China Student Entrepreneur Association
• Tianran Cheng, President, LSE SU China Development Society (CDS)
• Chair: Stephen Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group
The debate is expected to last for 60 minutes and will follow the format of a panel debate with initial contributions from the speakers followed by an audience Q & A. The event will take place on Tuesday 8th April, 7.30pm-8.30pm at the Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE.
