Join the Young Fabians Environment Network online on Tuesday 9th May at 19:00 for a discussion with Labour councillor and Lambeth Council Cabinet Member for Sustainability Rezina Chowdhury. As Lambeth's lead on sustainability Rezina oversees the delivery of the council's ambitious Kerbside Strategy to cut carbon emissions, including a shift sustainable modes of travel, investment in open green spaces, and improving air quality. Based on her knowledge and experience of local government sustainability policy, Rezina will be talking to us about how Labour councils can take action to cut emissions and improve the lives of their residents. With the local elections taking place on 5th May, we hope there will be lots of new Labour councillors who can emulate current Labour administrations like Lambeth. Rezina has been an active campaigner for her community in Lambeth for the past twenty years and has served as a councillor since 2014.
