We are delighted to invite you to join us for a special evening with leading UK homelessness charity Shelter, who provide front-line services for homeless people.
Shelter will be delivering a presentation to Young Fabians entitled, ‘Homelessness and the housing crisis – the causes and solutions,’ followed by a discussion on policy recommendations to tackle the problem and we want your ideas.
According to Shelter, since 2010 all forms of homelessness have gone up in England. Rough sleeping has more than doubled to over 4,000. The UK has 1.2 million households waiting for a social home on council waiting lists.
