This year, the Young Fabians 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 20 November at Birmingham Friends of the Earth's venue, The Warehouse. At this meeting, members will meet to vote on ratification of the 2021-22 Young Fabians Executive Committee and motions, as well as discussing ideas for a brand new year!
We'll start with a keynote speech and Q&A with Cllr Sharon Thompson. Sharon is Cabinet Member for Vulnerable Children & Families on Birmingham City Council, SME4Labour Councillor of the Year 2021, and writer of the foreword to our recent pamphlet Britain's Broken Housing Sector: Lived Experiences & Policy Solutions.
How to register
We'll run this as a hybrid meeting, to include as many of our members as possible.
If you're a Young Fabians member and you'd like to attend, please RSVP via:
- this Zoom Meeting registration link, if you'd like to attend online; or
- the 'Send RSVP' button below, if you'd like to attend in person.
Please note that in-person spaces are limited by the venue's capacity, so:
- if you become unable to attend after RSVP'ing, then we ask that you please cancel your RSVP so that someone else can have the space.
- if you try to attend in-person without RSVP'ing then we may not be able to guarantee you a place.
The deadline to submit motions to our AGM passed on 5pm on Friday 29 October, and the deadline to submit amendments to these passed on Saturday 13 November. The motions have been shared via email to everyone who subscribes to the Young Fabians' mailing list. If you're a member and you've missed this, please ask our Secretary Hollie ([email protected]) to forward them to you.
Post AGM social
We'll be holding a social after our AGM, from 5.30-7.30pm at the Fox & Chance cocktail bar (for over-18s only).
