We’ll be joined by:
Clive Betts MP - Chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Select Committee
Rachel Blake - Labour PPC for Cities of London & Westminster and Vice-Chair of the Labour Housing Group
Shreya Nanda - Chief Economist at the Social Market Foundation
Danny Beales - Labour PPC for Uxbridge and South Ruislip
Panny Antoniou - Member of the Young Fabians Executive Committee with 7 years of experience of working in the property industry
The housing crisis is affecting millions of people – in particular young people in urban regions – across the country. Getting housing policy right will be absolutely critical for the Labour Party ahead of the next General Election. Housing was a dominating topic during the recent local elections, with a Survation opinion poll published in early May finding that housing was the fourth most important issue for voters, only behind cost of living, health and the economy.
During our panel event on housing, we look forward to discussing Labour’s plans for tackling the housing crisis and to engaging in a debate about policy interventions that could help combat the housing shortage and drive fair and sustained economic growth.
This event will take place at the Fabian Society headquarters: 61 Petty France, Westminster, London SW1H 9EU. Please register below so we can keep a track of numbers.
