Join the Young Fabians for the official Parliamentary launch of the data-backed policy pamphlet investigating the impact of the pandemic on women and ethnic minorities and how to mitigate it in a post-pandemic world, "The Gendered Impact Of The Pandemic: Rebuilding The World For Women", commissioned and edited by Cecilia Jastrzembska.

Chair and Editor:

Cecilia Jastrzembska, Director, UK Government, Career Development Officer, National Executive Committee YF, Head of Events and National Coordination, Young European Movement, Board Trustee, VCS, Public Speaker and 50:50 Parliament Ambassador

-Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP

Labour MP for Streatham

-Charlotte Tosti, Pamphlet Writer, former Parliamentary Researcher and future Pupil Barrister

-Councillor Tina Bhartwas, Pamphlet Writer, Sounding Board Member, Unite Foundation. Hertfordshire County Councillor. North Herts and Stevenage CVS Trustee

This will be attended by representatives of several international organisations, from the Young European Movement, to Young European Socialists, women's rights based NGO's, Ditchley members, press and of course Fabian members. The pamphlet examines everything from the rise in feminicidal violence to the rollback of reproductive rights, and this promises to be a much needed discussion on how equality has been affected in different spheres and how we can work together to improve it using a holistic approach. A tonne of research has gone into producing this and we can't wait to share it with you.

Key questions:

-Identifying common global themes and paradigms: what does the post-pandemic equality landscape look like; where were we and where are we now? What is the scope for multilateral cooperation?

-How efficacious have attempts to redress the inequality gap been by different governments?

-What more could be done on a legislative level?

-There will be allocated time for questions (you may also submit questions in advance) and comments and the invite is open to all; feel free to bring friends and colleagues. Please RSVP so that security can check the guestlist.

NB: Speakers are presenting in a personal capacity.

We look foward to seeing you there!
