In the aftermath of President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the UK – the first by a Chinese Head of State for 10 years – the Young Fabians will be joined by Liam Byrne MP for a discussion on the next steps for the UK-China relationship. 

Over the last 18 months the Young Fabians have run a major programme on the UK & China. We published "China Ready: Equipping Britain for an Asian Future" in February 2015 and will be sending a delegation to Beijing later this month. 

At this discussion, the final event of the programme, members of the delegation and contributors to China-Ready will share their insights on what our two nations might learn from each further – before opening the event up for wider discussion.
