The 2018 Budget will be unveiled just days before Halloween: traditionally a time for horror shows. According to recent ministerial speeches and media coverage, this budget will be expected to end austerity, give a 70th Birthday present to the NHS and tackle the housing crisis - while avoiding any tax rises, planning for the possibility of a no-deal Brexit, and pushing well over £1 billion more in cuts onto overstretched local councils.
Join us the night after the Budget as we make sense of it all, together. In this relaxed social we will screen the Budget, hear short contributions from other Young Fabians about how it will affect their sector or policy network, and enjoy some drinks and snacks.
We will ask for a donation of £3 upon arrival to help cover the running costs of this event.
