A London Young Fabians event.
Join the London Young Fabians at the Palace of Westminster for a discussion on the cost of living crisis with expert panellists including:
-
Molly Broome, Economist at the Resolution Foundation
-
Morgan Bestwick, Policy Adviser at Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
- Peter Levell, Associate Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
The discussion will explore issues facing families across the country, and consider what policy solutions could help to ease the burden on those struggling to afford the basics, from food to energy.
We will hear insights from our expert panellists on the impact of the government's response to the cost-of-living crisis from an intergenerational fairness and wealth inequality perspective, and what inflation means for the post-pandemic labour market and whether work can continue to pay (inflation vs pay rises).
Please RSVP below if you wish to attend by 6pm on Thursday 12 July. Important practical information, including entrance details, as well as a ticket to show on the door, will be emailed to those who RSVP using the form at the bottom of this page on the evening of 12 July, 2 days before the event.
