As part of the Young Fabians investigation into Labour’s Purple Problem led by Rayhan Haque and Martin Edobor, the society is delighted to host a roundtable discussion with Simon Thomson, Labour PPC in Dartford in 2015. The event will take place at Fabian Society HQ on the evening of Tuesday 1st September 7:00pm and is open to all members.

This is an exciting opportunity for members to hear from and debate with a Labour PPC with frontline experience and insights of the UKIP threat facing the Labour Party (UKIP increased their share of the vote in the constituency by over 16% in the election, with Labour’s share of the vote declining). The event will be driven by members questions and contributions, so this is a great opportunity to have your say on this important topic and to feed into the Young Fabians investigation into Labour’s Purple Problem, which will report at a special event at Party conference.

Labour lost Dartford in 2010, and it’s one of those key seats we must win back if the party wishes to govern again. Please do join us for this event and help us understand how Labour can achieve that.
