Heather Vernon is a Parliamentary Researcher for Ivan Lewis MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
Heather taught in deprived areas of the West Midlands on the Teach First programme, where she was Subject Leader for Modern Languages. She has worked in the Strategy Team at the NSPCC, where she co-authored a report about children's experiences online. Heather also has experience working at an international press agency, at think tank Demos and in corporate social responsibility.
Heather studied Modern Languages at the University of Oxford and has previously lived in France and Germany.
