The Young Fabians Finance Network are pleased to invite you to our 3rd event of the 'Future of FInance' series- The Future of Banking. Following the successes of our 'Future of Financial Regulation' and 'Hidden Wealth of Tax Havens', we will be discussing the Future of Banking and how Labour Party policy can help shape it.
We have the following panel:
Professor Anastasia Nesvetailova sits on Labour's Economic Advisory Committee & works directly with the Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell MP. Professor Anastasia is also the director of City’s Political Economy Research Centre. Professor will discuss the future of the banking, and whether the sector has learnt the lessons from the 2008 crash.
Marloes Nicholls is Programme Manager, Finance at Meteos. She is Director of the Money Comms Lab and project manager and lead researcher for BankingFutures. Marloes has a wealth of experience working on social change, including co-founding the campaign Move Your Money UK and working at Oxfam on global campaigns and policy. Marloes will be discussing her paper 'BankingFutures', in particular its three recommendations and policy suggestions for the Labour Party.
