We are delighted to announce that the Fabian Society is hosting a summer boat party for members on Friday 21 August in Manchester.

The event will feature guest speakers, and the boat has a fully licensed bar. Free parking is available near to the assembly point. The address is Drybarge, Catalan Square, M3 4RU.

Guest speakers confirmed so far are:

• Lucy Powell MP, Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office
• Afzal Khan MEP, Vice-Chair of the Security and Defence Committee in the European Parliament

Tickets cost £15 (£10 concessions) plus a small booking fee and can be bought from the Fabian Society website.
