For our second event, we're delighted to announce Rory Palmer as our guest speaker for us at the East Midlands Young Fabians!

Rory Palmer is a former Member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands and a former deputy mayor in Leicester. He has also been a long standing member of the Fabian Society, including two years on the Executive Committee, 2019-2021. He is now senior policy, public affairs and campaigns manager at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Rory has written in the most recent Fabian Review about the bellwether nature of the East Midlands politically and what that means for Labour - which we'll be exploring further with him at this event.
