Join the Young Fabians Devolution and Local Government and Communications Networks for a joint event exploring the unprecedented communications challenge COVID-19 has represented for local and devolved government. We will be joined by:

• Andy Allsopp, national secretary of LGComms & head of communications at Essex County Council
• Gina Davidson, deputy political editor at The Scotsman
• Matt Greenough, director of Words Matter & former Welsh Government Special Adviser

Together we hope to explore how councils have navigated central government guidance, worked to reach vulnerable people and BAME communities, and communicated local developments to residents (including local lockdowns), as well as what impact the divergence of messages between Westminster and the devolved administrations has had on the dynamics of power in the UK.
