On Saturday 13th August, we'll be in Birmingham, speaking to local members, activists and Labour voters to understand about what Brexit means for their community - and in many cases - why they voted for it.
We'll kick off by hearing from the local MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, Steve McCabe, with discussion about the possible impacts leaving the European Union will have in the West Midlands, before heading out to get the view on the doorstep.
The four wards of Selly Oak were divided in half when it came to the Referendum with two wards voting Leave and two voting Remain. We will be helping the local campaign team to talk to local residents about how they feel Brexit has and will impact them, and their reasons for voting the way they did in the recent Referendum.
All Young Fabian members are welcome from across the country - especially if you're new to campaigning!
- The meeting address will be confirmed with attendees via email
- Groups of Young Fabians will also be meeting at both Birmingham New Street and London Euston stations to travel over together. Please RSVP, and we will be in touch with details and timings.
