We are delighted to invite you to our next meeting which will be divided between a training session on how to get a career in Law (we will hear from a solicitor and a barrister) and our rescheduled AGM.
We are aware that a lot of our members are at the beginning of their careers and often pursue a legal career alongside their political interests. As Law is one of the most competitive professions in the UK we have invited two older Fabian members who have succeeded in the field to give us their view on the journey to becoming a lawyer and how to overcome any obstacles. This will be a great opportunity for our members to ask any questions about the profession and seek advice from professionals on how to get your foot in the door.

If you wish to stand as a candidate for the law network steering committee, please observe the following guidelines:
• All candidates must be Young Fabian members to stand in a network election
• Candidates can opt to either:
1) self-nominate on the day
Or
2) send a 250-word written statement in support of their nomination to [email protected] by 5pm on Wednesday 13th March.
Candidates will be asked to give a 2-minute speech and then will be given an opportunity to answer questions from the audience.
