Join Compass and the Young Fabians  on Wednesday 1 June for the biggest Basic Income Conversation yet. Compass launched the Basic Income Conversation Toolkit in March 2021. Since then over 1000 people have downloaded it and Conversations have been happening around the country.

But there’s more to be said.

The Basic Income Conversation is about finding that missing piece of the debate, our stories. There is no stronger data or more compelling evidence on the need for a basic income than the things we experience each day.

A basic income would impact all of our lives differently.

For some it would mean the time to find a new job they really enjoy, others would spend more time with their families. Some people have had a seed of an idea for a business their whole lives which could be nurtured with a basic income. The security of a guaranteed monthly payment could allow us to look after our health and well-being when that needs to be our top priority.

It’s these stories we’ll be sharing at The Big Basic Income Conversation.

Join the Young Fabians, the Basic Income Conversation team and folks across the country on Wednesday 1 June to join a Basic Income Conversation and learn how to use the Toolkit to host your own.

We will use the Toolkit agenda for The Big Basic Income Conversation between attendees as well as explaining the strategy for deepening this Conversation to win a basic income in the UK.

Whether you’ve been talking about basic income for years, have downloaded the Toolkit but not had a chance to use it or you’re completely new to the idea we’re inviting you to join The Big Basic Income Conversation.

Expect interesting conversations, a chance to connect with new people and to be inspired to take action that gets us closer to a basic income in the UK.
