The Fabian Society and Young Fabians Law Network are proud to co-host our next event in the Zoom Talk Series: ‘In Conversation with Baroness Helena Kennedy QC’.

This will take place on Thursday 16 April on Zoom and is scheduled to begin at 7pm. Helena will be focusing her discussion on the impact of COVID-19 on human rights around the world.

Helena has had an illustrious professional career promoting human rights. As a barrister, politician, campaigner and broadcaster, she has tirelessly fought for social justice. Elevated to the Lords in 1997, she has used this platform to continue to fight for the cause. She played a key role in persuading the Labour Party to embrace the incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into British Law and bravely led the opposition to encroachments on the right to jury trial, for which she was awarded Spectator's Parliamentary Campaigner of the Year Award in 2000.

If you have any questions you wish to ask Helena, we ask that you submit them beforehand to [email protected].
