Anticipations magazine invites all Young Fabian members to pitch ideas for articles to be featured in our special Labour Party Conference edition.

We are building the theme of this issue around 'the new third way', exploring parallels between Ed Miliband's Labour and the New Labour project, the party's effectiveness in connecting to voters, and how the broader left is seeking to shape a new capitalism post financial crisis.

However, as always we welcome ideas on a range of topics, so feel free to send over an idea of your own.

We are also looking for one Young Fabian to write our regular 'Controversialist' feature. As the name implies, this should be an article on a topic controversial to those in the party. We'd particularly welcome submissions for this feature on how Labour can reconnect with the financial sector or on whether it is time to ditch election manifestos once and for all.

Please send pitches of no more that 250 words each to [email protected] by 6pm on Monday 18th August.

Successful pitchers will be notified by Tuesday 19th August.

Articles will need to be completed by Friday 29th August.
