The Young Fabian International Network will be hosting an event at Labour Party conference in partnership with IsraAID on the process of moving 'From Emergency relief to long-term recovery and sustainable development'. 

The event will showcase 5 different disasters in which IsraAID, moved from direct emergency relief, such as rescue and medical support, into long-term recovery and capacity building of local service providers in the fields, through to the provision of psychosocial support, agriculture and economic development. 

Case studies will include the recent earthquake in Nepal, the Typhoon in the Philippines, the Tsunami in Japan, the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone and the earthquake in Haiti. 

The event will be held on Tuesday 29th September between 18:30-19:30, speakers include

The event will be chaired by Amrita Rose, member of the Young Fabian International network.
