The Social Democrats in Sweden are on the verge of a historic victory against the centre-right Alliance for Sweden coalition, the party has been campaigning hard against austerity and the negative politics of the right.

The Swedish general election will be taking place on September 14th and the Young Fabians will be sending a delegation to campaign for a Social Democrat win.

The Swedish Social Democratic Youth League, the Youth section of the Social Democrats will be hosting us in the city of Stockholm. The trip will take place over 3 nights, from the 12th to the 15th of September. Over the course of the weekend members will spend time campaigning alongside Social Democratic Youth members, meeting prospective parliamentary candidates and experiencing the delights of the city of Stockholm. The weekend will culminate with an election night party, where delegates will watch the results roll in.

The delegation will be lead by Young Fabian member, Nathaneal Sansam and Treasurer, Martin Edobor. Our International officer, Joel Mullan and Campaigns Officer, Alvin Carpio will be directing our efforts on the ground. This a great opportunity to experience European social democratic politics in the context of a general election, there will be 5 delegate spaces on this trip for Young Fabians members.
