Corbynism and UKIP: a panel event with new Shadow Cabinet member John Healey MP

In the wake of the Labour Party’s devastating loss in May’s election, the Young Fabians launched an investigation into Labour’s Purple Problem. Led by Rayhan Haque, the investigation has the explicit aim of better understanding why so many of the party’s traditional working class voters are either deserting the party or now supporting UKIP.

At the Labour Party conference, we are pleased to announce we have an exciting panel debate where we will be debating how the politics and leadership of Jeremy Corbyn can address the threat facing the party from UKIP.

The event is scheduled to take place at 10:15-11:30am on Tuesday 29th September at the Holiday Inn Seafront, 137 King’s Road, Brighton, BN1 2JF. This event is outside the secure zone, and does not require a conference pass in order to attend.

We really hope as many of you can join us for this event!
