Do you remember the last Young Fabian event in Yorkshire? No, neither do we.
But everything changes on Friday 3 June, when we launch the new Yorkshire Young Fabians group. What’s more, we’ll be joined by the indomitable MP for Don Valley, Caroline Flint, former holder of seven ministerial positions!
Caroline and fellow panellists (to be announced) will be discussing what Labour can do for Northern England:
- What infrastructure and housing policies should Labour propose in order to build the 'Northern Powerhouse'?
- How do we ensure that the economic and political benefits reach smaller towns and communities?
- Can Labour use a 'Northern Powerhouse' concept to reconnect with disillusioned voters?
Each panellist will make a short speech, followed by a very interactive Q&A. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a politics event if the debate didn’t continue afterwards in the pub…
Come along, have fun, and even find out how you can get involved. You could end up running the next Yorkshire Young Fabians event!
