Join us for our first fundraising event in aid of the Young Fabians' Charity of the Year: the YF Aspiration Fund. The unexpected call for a General Election has left many of us scrambling to get out onto the doorstep and campaign for the Labour Party. More than ever, it's the stories in the local community that need to be heard if we're to target our message and get into power so that we can change the lives of those struggling under the current Tory Government. So come along with your loose change and hear from the front-line professionals.

The Young Fabians' Aspiration Fund will be putting our principles into practice to make a real difference to the lives of children who are struggling against the odds in our local community. It's our chance to remind ourselves, as members of a Think Tank that has spent decades generating policy to alleviate the inequality in our society, what is actually on the line - a reminder of who we're fighting for.

We'll be joined by two representatives from the charity we are supporting, NOPAC, who work with children facing unimaginable challenges and incredible deprivation at such an early age.  They will be talking to us about the reality for these children and the mammoth task of providing their invaluable service, against the backdrop of slashed budgets, depleting resources, and overstretched provision.

We'll be showing what cuts to the education budget mean on the ground and how we desperately need a Labour Government to alleviate the spiralling poverty cycle in society. This event hopes to offer an insight into the harsh realities of providing services to a deprived area of our capital, and show how one phenomenal charity is working to turn the lives of vulnerable, at-risk children around.

Remember, it's a fundraiser - so bring your spare change for our raffle, secret prizes and more...
