Up and down the country Young Fabians members have mobilised to help the Labour Party win this coming general election. While we focus on the supporting Labour on the doorstep, the Executive Committee wish to take part in and encourage all members to use this opportunity to converse with one another and build relations and share ideas on what sort of Young Fabian community they would like to be in once this key election victory is won.
This year we are embarking on an exciting transformation of this organisation, one that will affirm ourselves as the member-led organisation. The Young Fabians is an exciting place to be, a space that members can use to further their knowledge and personal development in public policy and politics.
We have reoriented from being an organisation focused from work by our Executive Committee to being a community where the Executive Committee's role is to lead the community and to encourages member-pitched and driven events, publications and research. This will give more opportunities for members to get involved, a wider and more diverse programme for member to partake in, and less geographical restrictions. It is our aspiration that our community has dialogue year-round and that there is always time for great ideas and sharing of views about the direction of our organisation.
This is your community, and the Executive Committee are seeking your opinions, specific ideas and aspirations for our community going forward. We encourage you to share your comments both your original thoughts and in response to ideas by fellow members.
