The Labour Campaign for Human Rights have their next public event on Wednesday 19th March. It will be a panel discussion and Q&A on: 'Rethinking the war on terror: is effective counter-terrorism incompatible with human rights?'The event will feature Yvonne Fovargue MP, Shadow Defence Minister; Professor Theo Farrell, Head of the War Studies Department at King's College London; Mustafa Qadri, Amnesty International's Pakistan researcher; Yasmin Qureshi MP; and Caroline Donnellan, expert on modern warfare with Oxford Research Group.

The event is an opportunity to explore controversial programmes carried out in the name of counter-terrorism, such as the use of drone strikes & targeted killings, as well as to discuss what Britain can do to help promote responsible and effective counter-terrorism. All are welcome.
