We collect information when you sign up for membership of the Fabian Society.
In running and maintaining our web presence we may collect and process the following data about you:
- Information about your use of our site including details of your visits such as pages viewed and the resources that you access. Such information includes traffic data, location data and other communication data.
- Information provided voluntarily by you. For example, when you register for events or projects or make a purchase. This also includes by “following,” “liking,”, linking your account to the Young Fabians, etc., on a third party website or network.
- Information that you provide when you communicate with us by any means.
We collect the required information in order to check you meet the conditions of and help you fulfil the opportunities provided by membership of the Young Fabians.
By providing Young Fabians your email address (including by “following,” “liking,” linking your account to youngfabians.org.uk, etc., on a third party website or network), you consent to our using the email address to send you Young Fabians-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on youngfabians.org.uk to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. We may use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of youngfabians.org.uk, or other information. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out at our unsubscribe page.
Following termination or deactivation of your Young Fabian website account, we may retain your profile information and user content for a reasonable time for archival purposes. Furthermore, the Young Fabians may retain and continue to use indefinitely all information (including user content) contained in your communications to other users or posted to public or semi-public areas of youngfabians.org.uk after termination or deactivation of your account.
The Young Fabians will not share your information with any organisation for marketing or commerical purposes.
The Young Fabians uses the NationBuilder platform to organize our community of members, supporters and prospects. When you visit youngfabians.org.uk, NationBuilder may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets NationBuilder help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through youngfabians.org.uk. A cookie does not collect personal information about you. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser.
