Join the Young Fabians for our Political Education Open Day in Manchester that will be lead by Mo Ahmed, our Regional Coordinator. This will include sessions led by our members, Policy Networks and special guests.
 
Here is the rundown of the day:
 
12:00: Brunch with the Young Fabians exec, at the venue.
 
13:00: Keynote address from Richard Lees, leader of Manchester City Council. He will speak about devolution in Greater Manchester, and how the council is using the powers it has gained to make a difference to people's lives.
 
13:30-15:15: Young Fabians International Network (YFIN) event with Guest Speakers: Nathan Abou, president of MJS France, and Ines Rabei. This session will be all about political education, how you can get involved with YFIN, and information on the Young European Socialists and IUSY, socialist European institutions that the Young Fabians are involved in.
 
15:15-15:45: Break
 
15:45-17:30: Extinction Rebellion and Citizen's Assemblies. Event on grassroots climate activism, citizens assemblies and how to organise to stop the death of our shared planet.
 
17:30: Discussion point about whether the Greater Manchester Fabians could reform, and expressions of interest for people who want to help to constitute the society
 
17:45: End.
