As Fabians, we are concerned about how to get household incomes growing again, and how we can heal Britain’s economic divisions. We believe that both of these aims require a rebalancing of Britain's economy towards industries that can create productive innovation, high-skilled jobs and a broader basis for economic growth. In this event, we will hear from and talk with leading voices from industry and policymaking, including:

  •         Rachel Reeves, MP for Leeds West and Chair of the Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy Select Committee;
  •         Ruby Peacock, Deputy Head of Public Affairs at the Federation of Small Businesses;
  •         Chris Richards, Head of Business Environment Policy at EEF: the Manufacturers’ Organisation;
  •   Dr George Dibb, Head of Industry, Technology & Innovation at Policy Connect and coordinator of the Manufacturing Commission.
  •    Guy Nicholson, Executive Board Member at SME4Labour and a Council Member in Hackney responsible for Planning , Business and Investment
