Young Fabians Executive 2011-2014: Equalities Officer (co-opted), Secretary, Chair

It’s an honour to serve as Chair of the Young Fabians at such a crucial time for the Labour movement. This year offers many challenges for the left and I am determined that the Young Fabians, with our broad church and distinctive voice, are at the centre of the debate over Britain’s future.

From our Ideas Series to campaigning, my job is to coordinate the Executive Committee to deliver for our membership and make an impact. With the rebirth of ideological politics, the Young Fabian tradition has a cruial role to play. Our maxim this year will be Bernard Shaw’s “Educate, Agitate, Organise”.

I’m a proud Fabian – our openess to ideas from across the party is our strength. I am also a member of the GMB union, Co-operative Party and Labour Friends of the Forces.

Day to day I run a think tank that looks at constitutional issues and I previously studied Ancient History then Public Policy at University College London.
