| Claire Leigh, Reform Officer |
|
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, Claire will spend this year revisiting the mission of the Young Fabians, assessing where we are currently and how we need to change in order to remain as relevant and effective as possible. As 'Reform Officer' Claire will look at our purpose, our membership, our activities and our constitution, and will propose reforms with a view to expanding membership, tailoring our activities to what people really want from us, and ensuring that we take full advantage of new technologies and ways of operating. Outside of the Young Fabians, Claire works as a strategic policy adviser, and currently provides advice to the President of Rwanda on behalf of Tony Blair's Africa Governance Initiative. She was previously a senior policy advisor in the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, focussing on foreign affairs and international development issues, and has also worked for the Foreign Office, for UNICEF in New York and as a strategy consultant at Deloitte. Claire has an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford University. Contact Claire:
