The Finance Network is our specialist interest group for those with interest or work in the financial sector. The Finance Network founded in 2010 is the oldest Young Fabian Network, boasting 200 members and has a distinguished history in developing ideas and debating finance policy. The network has previously done projects around crowdsourcing, the UK Budget, banking reforms, financial services for young people, to name a few. If you have an interest in getting involved with the Finance Network, please come along to the kick-off meeting.

We will be setting up the steering committee and electing the positions of Vice-Chair and Secretary. If you have interest in any of these roles, please prepare a very short paragraph or two of why you want to do the role in advance of the meeting. The Finance Network is member-led and encourages participation from all.

After the initial housekeeping, the kick-off meeting will allow us to set our programme for the year – I look forward to hearing everyone’s ideas. We will head to the pub afterwards.

This is a great opportunity to develop ideas and policies, organise events with high-profile speakers, submit potential publications, participate in campaigns and support the 2015 push for a Labour Government come May. You will meet fantastic people and have the chance to be part of an amazing network.
