Young Fabians Executive 2013-2014: Research Officer
I’m the Young Fabians’ Research Officer and new to the exec this year. I’ve been involved in the Fabians since I joined in 2008, most recently co-chairing the ‘care crisis’ policy commission. I’m also involved in the Fabian Women's Network, having helped set up the network’s groundbreaking mentoring scheme, and was elected to the first FWN exec this year. I’m originally from a dairy farm in Staffordshire, but came to London via Cardiff University and Sciences Po Bordeaux, where I studied politics and did a masters in European affairs.
What I love most about the Young Fabians is the unique space it creates for young people to get involved in political debates, events and projects, while meeting like-minded people from across the Labour movement. I’m really excited to be running our One Nation ideas series this year, and hope you’ll get involved.
