I'm new to the Executive Committee this year and have taken on a number of roles including Secretary, Press Officer and Universities Officer. I am looking to improve our ogranisation's external communications, targeting both local and national media to ensure events and policy research carried out for the Young Fabians receives as much exposure as possible. I have also been tasked with taking over the blog, which has gone from strength to strength in recent months so I will be looking to build on that success. In my capacity as Universities Officer, I plan to work with Steve as we branch the organisation out to areas of the country that don't have Young Fabian Societies. My focus will be on working to set up groups in universities and further education colleges.

I graduated from the University of Birmingham in July having studied Anthropology and Political Science. During that time, I worked on making the Political Scrapbook blog the second biggest in the country and interned for Pamela Nash MP. I now work for Andy Slaughter MP in Parliament. Away from politics I'm a fan of Arsenal, Pizza Express, Orange Wednesdays and Slovoj Zizek.
