 People join the Young Fabians for many reasons. You may want to: • Find out more about politics • Contribute ideas and make your voice heard • Extend your professional networks, meet like-minded people or simply be ‘part of something’ We would love you to join us! It costs £5 for the first 6 months, and less than £3.50 a month after that.
JOIN HERE (this will take you to the Fabian Society website who manage our membership – you will automatically be a member of the Fabian Society too when you join the Young Fabians). Joining the Young Fabians has many benefits. Here are some quick summaries of our activity in 140 characters! • Policy Commissions 2011: bringing YF views to policy wonks on the economy, communities, young people and world affairs. Pamphlet out soon. • Networks – 'Future of Finance' and 'Science and Technology'. Much needed forums to show the Left can discuss theses issues seriously. • Write or be a sub editor for the next editions of Antics or get your voice heard through the Young Fabian blog. First-time writers welcome. • Social events - we have fun too! Boat Party, pub quizzes, theatre trips and many of our events are followed by a trip to the pub... • Campaigning is important to us, both here and abroad, including support for the Obama campaign in 2008 & a trip to Sweden last year. • Keep a look out for one-off events (including events outside of London), webchats, YF Women activity and our international programme… • Plus the Online Book Club continues, Equalities month is coming up Oct 2011 and our schools scheme kicks off in this Autumn.
