The Young Fabian Book Club, launched in January 2011 and ran until Oct 2011. It was particularly aimed at new members, members outside of London and longer-term members who hadn't yet managed to get stuck in. The continuation of the Book Club will depend on resources on the new Exec coming into post in Nov 2011.

In September/October the Book Club read 'The Pinch: How the Baby Boomers Took Their Children's Future - And Why They Should Give it Back' by David Willetts and discussed the book in on an online webchat in mid-October.

• Unjust Rewards by Polly Toynbee and David Walker
• 'Talking to a Brick Wall: How New Labour stopped listening to the voter and why we need a new politics' by Deborah Mattinson
• 'Chavs: The Demonisation of the Working Class' by Owen Jones.
