The US Embassy has kindly invited the Young Fabians to a discussion and reception on the US mid-term elections and the anticipated impact on US foreign policy. This will be a joint event with Conservative Future and Liberal Youth.
The Young Fabians hope you will join us for what will be an exciting event debating the likely outcome of the US mid-term elections on 2 November and the impact this will have on US foreign policy towards the UK and elsewhere.
In attendance will be Professor Thomas Mann, the W. Averell Harriman Chair and Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at The Brookings Institution. Mann has taught at Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, the University of Virginia and American University and is the recipient of the American Political Science Association’s Frank J. Goodnow and Charles E. Merriam Awards. Provisional speakers also include Chris Bryant MP, former Minister of State for Europe and former Parliamentary Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in addition to Jeremy Browne MP, a current Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
