| Cara Brown, Regions & Universities Officer |
|
Cara is 26 and likes to think she bridges the north/south divide. Originally born and bred in Wales, she has also lived in Yorkshire and Southampton. She has therefore fittingly joined the Young Fabianís exec for the first time as co-opted Regions & Universities officer. Sheís keen to help Young Fabians in the regions and universities to meet and set up their own YF branches, and to create a better dialogue between both YFs across the country, and with those in London. Please feel free to drop her an email with any ideas you have on this or if you want guidance on organising a regional meeting or setting up a club. In her paid life Cara has recently started working for an Independent Think-Tank, the Resolution Foundation, as their Press & Public Affairs Officer. Prior to this she worked as Researcher to two Labour backbenchers, Martin Salter MP and Dr Alan Whitehead MP, and before that in the Press Team at the Electoral Commission. Caraís main policy interests include equality, climate change, electoral process and international development. In her spare time, Cara is an active Labour member, enjoys travelling, and is a Southampton FC fan (someone has to be!). Contact Cara:
