It has been an exciting year for our four 2010 policy development groups and we're looking forward to the 2010 Young Fabian Policy Development Pamplet coming out in October. For more information email  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

The policy development groups build upon the success of 2009’s YF Policy Forums and over the summer months tackled important issues for 2010 and beyond, giving members the opportunity to develop and present their ideas in discussion and in writing. Young Fabians were able to participate in a number of ways, and there were a significant number of online meetings involving many Young Fabian members outside of London.

There were three policy groups and a special project group on Transforming Our Party. Click on the images below to read more about what each group got up to:

If you would like to better understand how the Policy Development Groups work, please download the Model for Young Fabian Policy Development Groups which Adrian Prandle, Vice Chair of the Young Fabians, drafted for the PDG Chairs. It was intended not as a set of rules but as stimulus for making the groups effective and ambitious and to develop Young Fabian members. If you have any questions, please drop Adrian a line.

In 2009, Young Fabian members took part in four policy forums - for information on these, and the Fast Forward pamphlet, please click here
