Membership Officer

Anna-Joy Rickard was Website Office for the Young Fabians last year and this year, as Membership Officer, is excited about recruiting new members to the Young Fabians and helping them get involved.

She would love to hear from any Young Fabian members who have ideas about how to promote the Young Fabians to a wider audience and anyone who would like to work with her to recruit new members. She also wants to support new members to find ways to get involved in the Young Fabians (and older members who feel like they've never managed to get stuck in!).

Anna-Joy is passionate about making the Young Fabians accessible for people who feel they are new to politics and outside of 'political circles', and also loves encouraging more women to get involved in politics. She is based in Nottingham and hopes that recent initiatives have started to make it easier for people outside of London to connect with the Young Fabians and find ways to contribute.

She has a background in International Development and Child Rights Advocacy and currently works as a project manager for a UK Children's Charity.
