Young Fabians Schools Project Update
As part of this year’s schools project a national youth consultation was launched in schools across the country. Students were invited to outline their policy priorities and share their views on what they would do if they were Prime Minister.

The consultation deadline has now passed and the Young Fabians are delighted to be able to announce that we received nearly 500 responses from students up and down the country. Students dealt with a wide range of issues from international development to tacking crime, from environmental policy to the tax system. We received responses from primary and secondary schools, sixth form colleges, specialist schools and schools for children with special educational needs.

A Young Fabians consultation event will be taking place in Parliament in the coming months. This will offer those students who came up with the most exciting and innovative ideas the opportunity to share their views with a government minister and the Labour Party Vice Chair for Youth Dawn Butler.

For more information on the schools project and to find out how schools in your area can get involved, please contact the Young Fabians Schools Project Officer, James Green.
