Equalities Month and Launch of YF Women

We are delighted that UNISON will be partnering with us throughout Equalities Month and supporting the launch of YF Women.

Throughout March, we will host several panel discussion and social events linked to different issues of equality. We will also launch a new initiative for female Young Fabian members, ‘YF Women’. And of course we will blog extensively about all sorts of Equality related issues. You can get involved by joining our debates and social events and by writing on the blog yourself! Read more

 
Policy Development Groups

All Young Fabian members are invited to join our policy development groups new for 2010.

The policy development groups build upon the success of 2009’s YF Policy Forums and will tackle important issues for 2010 and beyond, giving members the opportunity to develop and present their ideas in discussion and in writing. You will be able to participate in a number of ways, wherever in the world you live.
 
There are three policy groups – Aspirations and Equality, Livelihoods and Resource Security, and Work and Families, as well as a special project group on Labour Party reform. Read more here

 
Anticipations exclusive online!

The Young Fabians are offering exclusive online access to our quarterly magazine Anticipations to launch our New Media special edition – ‘Can the Internet Change Politics’. Featuring Sarah Brown, Ben Bradshaw MP, Alex Smith, Will Straw, Jessica Asato and Kerry McCarthy MP – plus Tom Harris MP offers his top ten tips for Labour Bloggers.

Anticipations is usually only available to our members, but along with this exclusive online edition for all our supporters, we are also offering a special rate of membership to celebrate our 50th year - £5 for six months membership.

By joining you’ll have access to all editions of Anticipations in hard copy and any pamphlets that the Young Fabians publish such as our most recent one Fast Forward, also you’ll become a full member of the Fabian Society and receive all their publications such as Fabian Review.
