Thursday, May 7th at 6.30pm - Please sign up for the evening here.
Anneliese Dodds has served as a Labour and Co-operative Party Member of Parliament for Oxford East since 2017, and is currently serving as the first female Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer. Dodds also served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the South East England region from 2014 to 2017.
Marion Mayer, the Chair of the Young Fabians' Economy and Finance Policy Network, will host and lead the discussion with the first part of the conversation about Anneliese's career and the difficulties she faced as a woman during it. They will talk about what she has learned and advice for women looking to build a career in policy and politics - but also how men can help. In the second part they will dive into what policies need to be in place and what Labour can do to help more women getting into politics and senior positions.
We look forward to welcoming you.
